Wireless router?

Featured Replies

I don't know to much about wireless routers as I've never really used one, but in just under two weeks I'm moving into a new apartment that only has wired connections in rooms and I was wanting to get a wireless router pacifically apple's airport express and what I was wondering is if it a good router for the price? Should I get something different?

I recently bought a router from Cisco, which is like an international communication agency, and they are at the top of their career area.

Anyways, you can have wired or wireless connections from this:

Can buy it at Futureshop for like $50 + 2 year warranty.

Anyways I have 4 wireless, and 4 wired connections, or can have at a time from that. Which is pretty good.

Anyways, from what I know, this sets everything up for you. I had a pass, username, security key and security number within 5 minutes of putting the CD in. So I was up before I knew it. It's a very nice user-friendly GUI...

But yea it's worth it.

I'm only saying this as it's my personal experience, I didn't even bother to look up the router you suggested, so I could just be writing for nothing. But yea hope it helped.

It's MAC compatible*

The airport extreme router at $180 is massivly overprised for what your get.

This router has everything the apple one does including gigabit lan, wireless N, and a usb port for your printer (it comes in white like the apple one if your into that sort of thing). It's also $80 cheaper.

Now if you don't need gigabit lan and a usb port you can get a D-link wireless N router for about $50 now.

blade995- I'm looking at the Airport Express [LINK] thanks for the suggestion though but I don't really care for those three external antennas.

skatedog111- I look at the router you suggested, its very clean and simple  . I'm defiantly am going to consider it.
