A few questions about runecrafting

With the news of the runecrafting guild, I was really excited- there may finally be a good way to train rc. As I read about it though, I was dismayed to find that there is a minimum level requirement of 50. My question is this: Have I missed something? The experience curve (and the time that must be invested to level up) is HUGE! Is there a way to level this skill in a comparable manner to others? It's currently my lowest skill at level 48 and I believe that I'm about 1700 nats away from 50. I use pouches all the time but I don't use the abyss (admittedly mainly through fear of item loss!), is this where I'm going wrong? I had a similar problem with farming in that it took so very long to level- untill I discovered tree seeds. Is there an equivalent 'secret' or trick that I've missed? Thanks for reading.

Do tears of guthix, since it is your lowest skill, it gives a decent amt of exp to it....it might take 30 minutes to get over 50

Use the abyss. From level 50 and on, you can do 1800 ess/hour, about 1400/hour under 50. You should use super energies, or a spirit terrorbird for run restoring. If you can use an abyssal familiar (level 54+ summoning), you should use that and super energies.

Alternatively, you can use a spirit graahk to craft nats, this is slightly faster than the abyss. You can only use this for nature runes though, which don't give a lot of profit, so it's not advisable to use it if you are 54-91. There are better things to craft then. You also need 57 summoning to summon the graahk.

I agree with the above. Use tears of guthix.

The only tricks in RuneCrafting are small details that make your runs faster. But if you want the best xp, use ZMI. If you want money, abyss or ghraak.

Plus you aren't missing out on much. The minigame is fun and all, but the rewards are pretty bad.
