A few months ago a user on this board had a guide telling you how you could throw a massively expensive drop party, for no where near the price it was actually worth. He suggested using red topaz machetes and the best way to attain them quickly, with little or no cost to the party throwers.

At the time of said drop party, red topaz machetes were like 100k each on the GE. Now they're less than 10k. Guess you're outta luck.

The red topaz and other semiprecious gems are very cheap and it only takes a few of them to have enough trading sticks for a machete.

the materials to make the machete were very easy to get or buy, so if you go and get say, 100 red topaz's and machetes, then combine them, you get 10m in drop party material.

You can't combine red topaz gems with plain machetes. You need to buy the machete in Tai Bwo Wannai with trading sticks, or trade red topaz and goutweed to get one for half as many trading sticks.
