Help With My Avatar

I've made myself an avatar, spruced it up a bit in Paint, and saved it into my "My Pictures" folder. I went into the control panel to put it in, and I can't seem to figure out how. I'd rather not have to upload it to an image site, so if there's any way besides this, please list it first. Otherwise, tell me how I might go about doing it through an image site.

You have to host it now, the forums don't support uploading from your computer.

 

 

 

Just go to an image hosting site, I suggest http://www.imageshack.us

 

Click browse and find your avatar, then click submit.

 

It'll host your image and provide you with several URLs.

 

Find the one that is just the 'direct link', it should be at the bottom.

 

Copy and paste that into your avatar field.

A tip: Make sure you've got it the right size...I don't know how many times I've had to upload and re-upload scaled down images because I could never get them the right size..

The tip.it rules are that your avatar can be no bigger than 8kb.

 

Yours is currently 30kb, so please change it to something smaller.

 

 

 

You can use the Sig resizing sticky to ask for help. Someone will resize it for you.
