I need about 700 limpwurt roots and right now I have none. I'll be doing several rounds of farming per day, but while I'm waiting for the plants to grow I'd like to do something else to get roots. So what's a good way to get limpwurt roots besides farming? Are there monsters that drop them frequently? Thanks for your help!

Hill giants drop them Try the one in varrock u need a brass key or go to any ftp word and go to the bank people sell there

Cockatrice drop them frequently, and are especially good with a ring of slaying. What do you need them for? If you just want super strength, it's cheaper to buy the potions than use the ingredients. If you want herblore exp, I'm pretty sure there are better money/exp ratios. If you're a DIY skiller, my advice was always going to be useless (except the part about cockatrice).

By the way why does the ring of slaying make it better?

slayer ring teleport is very close to the entrance to the slayer cave

Except that there's no good teleport to a fairy ring (except the slayer ring, which has revolutionized the way I use fairy rings). With the ring you could make much much faster runs than using glories to use the one in edgeville. They're also cheap if you can make them, which is one of the very best things to do with slayer points.

I would definitely go with these. Although i prefer Hobogoblins because the ones under edgeville and next to the hill giants place is really easy to get to. While cockatrices i have to teleport to camelot and walk to slayer dungeon.

hmm I haven't thought of that use for a slayer ring... I should get that!

everyone says hill giants but they r crowded and they dont drop them often.

 

 

 

the best creature in f2p to get it from is the hobgoblins near the hill giants. these creatures drop them far more often and its decent combat xp.
