edge0303 Posted June 15, 2005 Share Posted June 15, 2005 there are like 4 problems... 1:when i double click(i want to open the program) the norton firewall and antivirus,it will not open. 2:although i DO have firewall(AND ad blocking) on,but i still see ads. 3:i cant connect to MSN,the error code was 80072efd. 4:when i press control+alt+delete,the windows task manager wont show up.i scanned with S&D,removed some adware/spyware,but still no avail.(can still see ads) 5:when i go to http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v ... x?ln=en-us , i cannot receive updates and thus had this error: Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the requested page. I cannot connect to Ad-Aware SE personal to receive updates. I cannot connect to MSN explorer. I cannot connect to hotmail. My connection is all screwed up. I cannot find my windows installation cd. The first thing, you should try is scanning with an online virus scanner.Try this http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ If you have no viruses (or even if you do and you get rid of them), uninstall and then reinstall norton. Then scan with that. Post again when you've done that.
