August 24, 200817 yr Always wanted to try a vector. So after 12 hours of tedious layering, I finally finished it. I then made two other smaller ones. My first one looks the best. [hide=Vectors]MY FIRST VECTOR. I'm so proud of my self. And the other two smaller ones. This one is of myself lol. And a vector of lupe fiasco. (His eyes are supposed to be like that, hes giving a funny look) [/hide] [hide=Some of my other work] [/hide] All feedback is welcome.
August 24, 200817 yr Gonna do c/c on the first one. Lips are unrealistic. text near the shine is hard to see. text over jacket stands out too much. They all look really awesome tho, i don't know much bout vectors but this is nice! Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob. People in OT eat glass when they are bored.
August 24, 200817 yr 1. Shading looks quite good on the first one but the lips, hair and beard looks quite unrealistic as it's just one colour on them. I'm not a fan of the yellow things in the back though because of the shading. Really good job in my opinion, looks great. 2. Large :D. Simple shading on this one, it doesn't have to be a bad thing but it makes the ear stick out as you used more shades for it. Lips yet again look weird. I think you found what your good at . I assume you used photoshop? May I kindly ask if you used a tutorial of some sort I was thinking of starting myself? If you did may I have the link through a PM?

The first one took about 10 hours to finish.
August 24, 200817 yr I'm assuming he used Illustrator or Inkscape. I love them! IMO they're great for firsts. I think taking the watermark off is fine if you keep the size below 800 by X pixels. To be honest though, they look unfinished. They need more details, otherwise the just look way too flat. For example, make the sunglasses shiny, give the skin/hair/lips more contrast. Edit: I really said contrast? I meant texture.
August 24, 200817 yr A quick comment on the facial expression- If you want to make a o_0 facial expression, instead of making the one eye bigger, you widen it into a circle, like this~ other than that, you get eight of ten for both. Here be dragons ^ Dragon of the Day

I'll be sure to remember next time I'm making another one. If i have some free time, I'll try to touch of the glasses and lips.
