i was wondering if i could have any pking tips i am currently 47range 42mage 35str 30atk aiming for these stats before i go pking:

 

65range

 

59mage

 

60strength

 

40attack

 

and still 1 prayer and defence

1 Def pures were obliterated after the December updates. Since they are worth nothing outside the first BH crater, most of the players converted them into tankers (high def in case you didn't know).

 

I imagine that many pures coming back are going to raise Attack to combat the other pures' higher Defence, but you never know. For now, just get 40Att 70+Str 50Magic and 70+Range then see which way you want to go.

Use the Tip.it combat calculator and max out your mage and ranged levels. There's no reason not to since they don't affect your level if you're combat based. Mage is especially useful since there's that nice passive 70% defence bonus against other people using magic.

Here's a very good tip on who not to target while pking: players who are 50+ lvls higher than you. :ohnoes:

 

Jagex stated that you won't get the player's items when you kill them, but instead the drops will be generated by the game (they also said initially you'll only get regualr monster drops, like say 120gp). So there's no reason to be annoying and go around reviving the days of rc pkers and such... Just fight to have fun, and scare others away in an attempt to "control resources". :thumbsup:
