Errdoth
GParted Live is a free linux live cd that *just* has gparted on it. You can use it to shrink and resize your partitions. Just let the screen pop up, right click on your primary partition, and click on the Move/Resize option. You can use the little slider in that window. Errdoth
but isnt it for Linux? No, it *is* linux. A harddrive is a harddrive. Last.fm Signature Overlays
Makoto_the_Phoenix
Before you use GParted Live, please, PLEASE back-up any critical files. Re-partitioning a hard disk is relatively safe, but anything could go wrong. Orpheus
How could it be used for a disc, to test out linux before partioning? I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.
Errdoth
How could it be used for a disc, to test out linux before partioning? No, it's the partition tool that's bundled with gnome systems on it's own disc. It's a linux livecd that has _nothing_ on it but a partition program. ____
And it works nicely. Just with any other program that does the same thing you need to watch what you're doing... like me just now formatted the wrong partition
