September 2, 200817 yr My suggestion has to do with pictures. Idea 1 : Thumbnails. Lets say a picture over the size of 200X200 will be automatically thumbnailed. When you click it, it will show the actual version. Idea 2: An option to only show the image in tags. Instead of picture You would see: My dad is being an a-hole so Ill edit this tomarrow. September 2, 200817 yr Idea 1 would require so much server load it isn't worth it and isn't going to happen, sorry. Idea 2 is plausible, but would take a while to do, if I'm not mistaken. (To make the UCP option and change the template files)
September 2, 200817 yr About a week or two ago, there was a thread on the exact same thing. I don't know if it can be implemented, but if you have Firefox, then you can download a program that allows you to preview what is on the page. The link is located here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4999 My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
September 2, 200817 yr How about making 2 separate switches in user profiles... One that allows "disabling"/"total hiding" of signatures, and one that allows disabling of avatars. Then dial-up users can see avatars, without seeing signatures, and can even have an option to show sigs on click-to-view. Problem solved. :) ~D. V. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.)
September 2, 200817 yr Well... First of all, you can already hide signatures. But to make a button that loads it would have to be a mod.
September 2, 200817 yr Well... First of all, you can already hide signatures. But to make a button that loads it would have to be a mod. Ouch. :ohnoes: (As in, I can probably expect to see this happen on the 5th of never, because we don't need to go bloating the PhpBB3 code with extra mods.) ~D. V. September 2, 200817 yr The only problem with a mod is that it takes so long to code and test, and the admins have more important things to do with the main website under attack. TIF has a lot of modifications already, the admins aren't afraid to change large amounts of code. If you have any idea how modded the TIF installation of PHPBB2 was, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Well... First of all, you can already hide signatures. But to make a button that loads it would have to be a mod. I look in UCP and couldn/t find a thing on changing signitures. September 2, 200817 yr UCP > Board Settings > Display Settings; display options for signatures, avatars and images are found there. Disabling images turns every image in a post into a link to said image, including signature images.
September 5, 200817 yr Im currently on my phone and switched images off and its fine so if you switch them nothing else needs to be done
September 5, 200817 yr UCP > Board Settings > Display Settings; display options for signatures, avatars and images are found there. Disabling images turns every image in a post into a link to said image, including signature images. I thought there was a button like that, but wasn't sure. So, there you go! :
