Shooting Star:

 

 

 

Stars are falling from the sky, ripe with rewards! Mine the meteorite and you'll get up to 200 pieces of stardust. Manage to get to the middle of the star and you'll meet the star sprite, who will reward you according to the amount of stardust you have mined.

 

 

 

Watch out, though: there's a two hour gap between shooting stars, so you should take advantage of the stars when you see them. Get a better idea of when (and where) they'll fall by using your player-owned house telescope, but they'll still be hard to find. The stars are big and slow to mine through, so they're best mined by several people at once. Call on your friends to make your way to the middle with slightly more ease...

Stars can land all over the place! Use your player-owned house telescopes to narrow down the landing location of the next star.

 

 

 

Requirements to play Shooting Star:

 

Members only

 

Different layers require different Mining level requirements.

 

Outer layers are tougher to mine. Stars will start off at a random size.

 

Access to:

 

 

 

Rewards from the star sprite include runes, coins, gold ore and a temporary bonus to your Mining, which will give you more ore from the rocks that you mine.

 

Bonus Mining XP for the first person to discover a star.

 

You can be rewarded by a sprite up to once each day.

 

basically you need a telescope and it gives you the general area of where the next shooting star is gonna be, and how long it is until it gets there.

 

its pretty simple, and i heard from someone that they only land in banks and mines, not sure about that though.

I had RS A.D.D. for years. I've been hovering at 73 ranged for about 3 years because I just can't bring myself to train it. The best thing you can do is to just sit down one day and play until you get to your goal (while taking breaks of course). That's how I got all of my current 99's anyway.

 

 

 

Maybe watch some t.v. or something to help ease the monotony. One of the best pieces of advice I can give is DO NOT look at a level calculator, or a goal signature. This will only discourage you into thinking that your goal will take longer than it really will.

dont suffer through getting ur goal if u really cant stand doing the particular skill. rs is a game and it should be enjoyed. dont force urself to do something u dont. u might as well just do that irl. if u r getting bored switch activities, play minigames, etc. then when u feel ready to achieve ur goal do it. it stinks how u level so slowly once ur a higher level. another way is to just chat with friends make plan parties. things that can make u look forward on getting that 85 mining other than the fact that u can mine those reunite ores :thumbsup: hope u make it to big 85 and gl. try not to die of boredom :thumbsup:
