September 10, 200817 yr Okay well here is the deal, I have money sitting in my bank and after advising someone on what they COULD spend their money on I realized that I should invest some of my money in MTK to further my fortune. Now I have done both quests so I have the full potential of MTK. My question is, as many of you could have guessed, what are the best things to invest in for MTK for pure profit? Also, if you use MTK, when do you go back there to renew favor, or collect your items, just some general knowledge about that would be nice as well. Also, how do you go about getting there in a fast and efficient manner? Apparently, my signature was to big.

Also, how do you go about getting there in a fast and efficient manner? I can only answer the last part of the question, as I myself am also looking for the best setup. Anyhow, I go every 3-4 days (I can't sit there for any more than that knowing there is 500k pure profit sitting there) by fairy ring (CIP). I bring a pickaxe to mine coal to egt favour up cause it's next to the fairy ring. Hope I helped! So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.
September 10, 200817 yr 10 Flax, 5 fish is guaranteed to make you profit. You can gamble with wood instead of fish as well, if you want. However, I think everything else makes you a loss. I cut teaks, because it gives monster favour. 'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

September 10, 200817 yr I posted this a few weeks ago. The prices in the example are from August 22, 2008, but the general principles are the same. It was an answer to what are the best things to invest in. It depends. :? Seriously, all you have to do is check the GE database and see what current prices are on the raw materials you can get from Miscellania and select accordingly. As of today, swordfish are up, so putting 10 on raw (not cooked!) fish and 5 on flax is most profitable. The most profitable items are normally flax, coal, raw fish, and maples. Calculation of results from 10 workers based on today's prices: 545 coal X 179 each = $97,555 1,250 flax X 92 each = $113,750 440 tuna X 119 each = $52,360 + 131 swordfish X 525 each = $68,775 - total = $121,135 892 maples X 44 each = $39,248 Thus, it makes sense to put 10 workers on raw fish and the remainder on flax, as it is the next most profitable resource. That comes to a total of $178,010 (10 fish, 5 flax) on an investment of $75,000, which is a net profit of over $100,000 per day (and this does not count the extra goodies you get like seeds and caskets). The problem is that you can't always make the most money with this combination -- you have to be willing to check current prices to make sure there are no significant changes. For example, when Rocking Out first came out, coal was the most profitable resource. As for maples, I'm going to let someone else comment on them. I do not use them as I prefer the guaranteed return I get with fish, flax, and coal. However, with maples maxed out, you should collect 8 bird's nests each day and the contents of the nests can make maples profitable....I just don't have any data on them. Finally, you also get some miscellaneous items with each resource that I haven't really included in these calcuations. The occasional snapdragon seed that may arrive with the flax can definitely skew the results....so you might also want to take those into consideration. I've been getting 2-3 gems per day if coal is maxed, 4 caskets and maybe a fremmy item if fish is maxed (and the occaional key half) and probably like 2 herb seeds per day on flax. As for the rest of your questions, I go every 2-3 days to keep favor up. I usually rake the weeds because they aren't too far from the fairy ring and if I forget a rake, I can get one for 15 gp. Sometimes I'll go on a spree where I collect every time I'm there, other times, I'll let it build up a while, just to see how much I get. If you plan to do that, you have to make sure you leave enough money in the coffers, as they take out $75,000 per day. I usually keep at least 1.5 million in the coffers, just in case I don't get there for a while.
September 10, 200817 yr Hey now I can advise you again :) - Well someway my guide about manage thy kingdom I can't find anymore (maybe I should repost it). But anyways Ive got a very, very extensive excel sheet about MTK calculations (I'll upload it if you want so you can play with it yourself): When updating once a week, and collecting after 28 days, the best is to put 10 at fish and 5 at woodcutting: flax' prices have dropped too much the last month to be really usefull nowadays :( This set up yields: wc profit daily: 30717.62083 gp fishing profit daily: 72250.29946 gp total profit daily: 102967.9203 wc profit after 28 days: 340778.564 fishing profit after 28 days; 2021925.248 total profit: 2362703.812 (notice that it's less than 28 times the daily profit thanks to rounding down which runescape does when considering randoms).. I tested it with over 2 years of gathering stuff (currently gathering mining stuff: so that might be slightly outdated - I noticed the amount of good random items you got was reduced around 6 months ago) and against ge prices from the first of this month! First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me.
September 10, 200817 yr Simply, 10 fishing, 5 on flax. Enough said. Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
