After letting Bob Rock, their producer of 20 years and the one that produced a failure of Metallica called "St. Anger", this album features new producer, Rick Rubin who worked with artists from Jonny Cash to Slayer. This album also features new bass player, Robert Trujillo (Suicidal tendencies, Ozzy). Nonetheless, if you like Metallica's old stuff, you should listen to this album as it emphasizes a lot of their older ideas.
