Some analyzation...

Just to note, this is in any way a debate whether the recently penguin update is good or bad.. just read along ;)

Starting September 2nd, we have had a new way to gain xp in P2P. It's involved, but if you play it right, you can earn more xp from penguins than you could from genies (etc).

I wonder, why this update? You can get 65k minimum gold or nearly 10k+ xp (or whole lots more) a week. Climb on any good clan chat and you probably can find 5 penguins in an hour.

It's just a hunch, but could this mean that P2P will start seeing FEWER random events? I could be dead wrong on this, but it looks like it's heading in that direction.

Random events pop out at anytime to stop you and prevent botting. Penguins are just an optional way to waste time, not a suitable replacement. Jagex did say they will tweak the random events, but this is not it.

They actually mean "make worse" when they say "tweak :P

Yeah, the whole penguin/circus update seems like.. optional random events. some xp, some useless, yet not bad looking clothes.. I think they started moving towards the fixing of randoms. When they were about to remove free trade/wilderness PK'ing, they were making preparations for around a year, so maybe they feel like preparing for this one too, instead of just doing everything in one big update

They didn't actually use the word tweak 2d98apt.gif
