September 15, 200817 yr okay i have wireless broadband and normally it runs fine like videos buff faster then they play but a day ago my internet went really slow and it wont stop its about 60kbps ( according to a online broadband speed checker thingy ). im using telecom wirless broadband that says it should be running at 54.0mps and now its running at the speed ofmy old dial up also i have full signal strength. basically im useless with computers and im only 14 so i dont have all the codey thingys todo stuff butmy mum does but shes worse then me any help is apriceated and thanks in advance ~r4ngewarlord ( <------ sorry always wanted to do that ) Gamertag: EFs Predator.Games I play: Halo 3, Halo wars.

I asked that because if you used a separate router alot of the time they won't help you.

(Look under Control Panel - System - Device Manager, or type "Device Manager" in the search bar in Vista. It should be the "Modem".) If you can't find that, then you might want to have your mom talk to your ISP, or Internet Service Provider. She'll be able to learn whether or not you have limits on your broadband. He has an external modem. As that is the way it is for broadband. So it won't show up in device manager as it isn't part of the system. You could try the network adapters as that is what takes the cat5 cord from router/modem and puts it into your pc.
