Hey Tip.It! I have several questions about slayer. Hopefully I can get them all answered.

 

 

 

1. Is this a good equipment setup?

My stats are as follows:

 

 

Please keep in mind I will have 70 attack and defense within the next week or two, so I will be able to wear all this gear lol! Not included in the image is my granite shield/rune defender.

 

 

 

After buying all of this, I will have about 1m gp left, which means NO, I CANNOT BUY A FURY AMULET. Lol. Please do not suggest this.

 

 

 

2. Is the Spinner summoning pouch really worth it? I know it heals you, but it's incredibly expensive if you use it on a consistent basis (G.E. price 10k)

 

 

 

3. Is it worth my money to train summoning? I hear the Bunyip is very useful for Slayer. I will make more money after this, don't worry. :D

 

 

 

4. How long do you approximate it will take for me to get to 85 slayer (My level now is 40-something) playing two hours per day?

1. Yes since you can't afford a Fury at the moment, but when you can then you definitely should upgrade.

 

2. Not really. I'd just wait until you can use Bunyips.

 

3. Most definitely. That Bunyip is awesome. You won't regret it. 8-)

 

4. No idea. You need over 3M more Xp and in two hours, you could probably get around 30k. 100 days? Very rough estimate though - since you'll be gaining levels and your Xp rate will gradually become higher.

It depends on the task. In a situation in which it saves you an entire trip, hell yes it's worth 10k.

Thanks guys. I will be obtaining charms from slayer, so this way I'm getting xp in my combat skills, hitpoints, slayer, AND summoning. Now there's efficiency. :-P

Rune defender is far, far superior to granite shield.

 

 

 

And you should get a ring of wealth.

defender. get one soon as you can, every other shield is not worth it. obby shield is last resort

 

 

 

Bunyip definately owns

 

 

 

Id guess you will get around 10k slayer exp at that level, i get 15k or so on good tasks without cannon. id say average 12-13k. if u get bad assignments u will get 10k or less.

 

 

 

so average at 10k or so at those levels maybe 9k. 20k a day or so. 140k a week. 3m ex = 21 or so weeks or around 150 days

1. Drop the combat brace and take your best RFD gloves (unless that is addy or below, in which case take the bracelet). I also notice you do not have a ring or cape. Take a ring of dueling/life/weath and an obby cape. That'll work out fine.

 

2. Looking at your stats you probably won't have a task which you'll need a Void Spinner for. Pineapple Pizzas and even Monkfish will get you past all your tasks just fine, if you are willing to be a minimalist in some occasions.

 

3. Yes. Perhaps not needed at your current level, definitely consider using it once you start taking tasks from Sumona/Duradel. But you might not have the funds at the current moment unless you REALLY minimalize, and even then you'll have to sell a load of stuff. I'm predicting roughly a 2-3m cost. That's about how much it cost me, getting my charms from slayer.

 

4. The question is cannon or no cannon. Another is Super Sets or no Super Sets. The last is Superhuman Strength or no Superhuman Strength. No matter what, use Super Sets. You might not be able to afford to cannon tasks. But if you're really serious about 85, consider building up a solid cash flow, begin farming high-yield herbs, and such and such. Meleeing Dagannoths (170ish) takes be a bit over an hour. Some people I've trained with tell me they've spent 2 hours on that task. I can polish that many off in 15-20 minutes with cannon/kyatt and 1k cballs (usually less). Point proven? Of course, you could very well get it without a cannon. But the difference is in tens of hours. I'm ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you can make the money you spend in the time you save.
