Hey guys, so for my art class, i have been drawing Pokemon's, Mudkips and Geodudes. And now we have to do a painting, but the teacher wouldnt let me paint a pokemon that was already created, so a buddy of mine came up with the idea of a Geokip... Geodude and a Mudkip combined. Then another buddy of mine helped me with an idea on a image, This is where you guys come in, i ow need your help! I have the character drawn, and colored, roughly done as its a WIP still. But the mouth i think looks funny, so i need your help to decide if i should add an actual mouth, with a tongue. so here is the design without a mouth and tongue

*PS* Crappy scanner, colors and lines are bad, looks way better in real life, and its just roughly done as of now

About the one without the mouth the piece hanging down looks more like a beard of some sort...The one with the mouth does look a little weird, well the mouth part at least. It just looks like it just comes out of nowhere and doesn't really have a top to the mouth or anything. I'd say keep the mouth and fix it or lose that piece that hangs below his chin or whatever it is. But that's just me.

How would i fix it then?

I personally think that the main problem is that in the second image, the mouth seems to extend way too far (almost as if the jaw bone has been broken). Rather than redesigning the mouth, I would just change how it looks in the second image. I think it would look fine if you only opened it slightly and maybe exposed some teeth, with the tongue slightly visible.

 

 

 

But the mouth looks perfectly fine in the first image. The problem is just how you designed it to open in the second one.

What a coinkydink! In art class we had a selection of 5 pokemon to draw. The teacher chose the crap ones -.- .

 

 

 

To me, right now the actual geokip looks fairly simple. Will you be having shading and stuff? And the mouth jopie was talking about will do fine imo.

alright WELL! i have changed it up a bit, and the mouth looks good, and now im adding a background to it! i will scan and post it when i got the rough idea done!
