October 1, 200817 yr When you're making banners and graphics like this, it's always bad to use a filter that directly affects the look of a render. Ones like plastic wrap, find edges, graphic pen, chrome etc (those ones are photoshop), basically any 'artistic' filters, don't go well and they don't look good. Things like blurs are the way to go, but obviously don't blur something that doesn't need to be blurred. It's tempting to try and get as much out of an image as you can when you first start, I was like that too. I'll bet all the best artists here were like that. You learn over time and practise that subtle changes are much much more effective than piling on filter after filter.
