Ouchy
Did you buy all of your music from Apple, because if you did the situation is going to be a lot easier. If you didn't then I suggest that you buy the necessary CD that will hold your whole library, and transfer it that way. The only other alternative is to do it online, but that is risky. :| My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. thrash-boy
i found this page on google. it sounds like it would work perfectly and keeps all you ratings and playlists etc. I did a similar thing a week ago when i re-installed windows, except because i was not changing OS and i kept my logon name the same on my computer i simply copied all the music to a portable hard drive and then copied it to the fresh install in the exact same location. i also copied the entire itunes folder the same as that. i opened itunes and it worked perfect! my ipod was even recognized as having that library so i didnt have to re-sync everything. Your situation will be a bit more tricky though.
stevepole
Like thrash-boy did I would suggest copying all your music to a external harddrive formatted in FAT32 as it can be read on both Macs and PCs. I've done it to transfer music from PC and Macs several times, works fine.
