October 7, 200817 yr I just noticed that when you search a topic using the search box at the bottom of the page, it won't return usernames of people. In this example, I was trying to see if I had previously posted in the topic. It didn't give any results, so I presumed I hadn't posted (so I did). Then I searched in a topic I knew I had posted in, and again it returned no results... Has anyone noticed this before, and can it be changed so you do get usernames in the searches? Try it: Search the topic for my username. You won't get any results unless someone types it in. sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
October 7, 200817 yr Because I believe, when you use that feature (Search at the BOTTOM of the page), it's searching post content only. I don't think there is a way to change that. If you want to see if you have posted in a thread, just go to View your posts and see if the thread comes up. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
October 7, 200817 yr With TIFblack, it marks threads you've posted on with a kind of asterisk thingy, I thought that Tipit_theme did the same thing but apparently not. And I've found that on topics with more than one page, author search works. I don't know why, I don't really mess with the search function and don't even know how it works. :P
