My Laptop is SCREWED up.

Featured Replies

Few problems here with my laptop, its built in left speaker is blown..

Its battery is stuffed and its like a normal computer; pull the plug and it turns off..

It overheats real easily..

It freezes if not used for about 1 hour..

After freezing or overheating, i turn it on and it comes up with the Windows XP Home Edition loading bar, loads, and doesnt actually complete loading sequence, thus having to pull the plug, and [bleep] it up even more.

Help!?

I dont need a siggy no moar.

For your blown left speaker by a new one and install it. In most laptops you will ahve to buy a left and a right as it is the smae module. If it is the battery you can buy a new one but msot of the time they are a little pricey like everything else. For the over heating make sure you have it on a solid surface so that it is getting choked. You could also buy one of these i have one and it keeps it roughly 10 degrees cooler and there really cheap. Make sure you get one that is USB ran. Alo DON'T UNPLUG IT. Just hold in the power button till it shuts down.

If I hold the power button and shut it down that way, it continues to repeat the loading Microsoft screen.

I had to do it 5 times before i got fed up and unplugged it -.-

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Almost looks like imediate restart after BSOD?

Also, the overheating problem may be dust clogging the fan, how old is your laptop and have you got the dust cleared in the past?

Got my laptop in September 2006, and no I havent had it cleaned.

Also, the battery was screwed up since I had to send it back cause the internal modem was also screwed. Since I got it back the battery has not worked.

We havent bought a new one yet either.

Keep that up and you WONT even have a laptop. You need to hold for like 10+ seconds on some models.

Also it sounds like you keep REAL good care of it so I'm not surprised it's having problems, and for having it for two years I'm surprised it still works...

You.. arent smart?

Before you are going to tell me I take good care of my computer (/sarcasm), you should read that holding the off button doesnt work majority of the time.

read ?!

EDIT: I did nothing to screw it up.

If its not meant to have an internal modem in it, they did.

If it cant play music on full blast for 3 hrs a day, they screwed up.

Not like I did anything bad when Windows is faulty and the computer model obviously is a load of [cabbage]

Then why didn't you send it right back saying they didn't repair it accordignly? they should do it for free if it's their fault for not repairing it as it should.

Most laptops have internal modems for dial up users and some fax machine connections. Therefore, for some laptops, it is meant to be there.

Why should it be there fault when you let your computer overheat fomr lack of care? It is a bad idea for constantly doing something on a computer, especially a laptop. Get an iPod for that much music playing

Unless you can make a better OS, don't say Windows is faulty. You are the one who choose the computer. Don't blame the maker for your mistake. Your mistake of a laptop choice is a load of [cabbage].Don't blame others for your carless misrakes.

It's.. not.. miscare..

Especially when the wiring is faulty. I never opened the damn thing up.

They're the ones who screwed up everything excluding the speaker.

Warranty is out. Ironic how Warranty was drained about 1 month before the speaker blew and it started freezing, overheating, etc.

And btw when someone asks for help you dont go flame them for things they didnt do; idiot. :D

A computer doesn't just break down unless the operator does something to it. 99.9% of the time it is operator error. this doesn't sound like the .1%. You do know speakers go bad after a while and leave it full blast all the time would explain it. The engineers test the speaker on the right DB levels you could get songs that are produced louder than normal. If it is overheating it probably has alot of dust or the fan is clogged or you don't have it on a hard surface for it to get airflow. I would install Speed Fan to get some temp readings. Also if your talking about bballer flaming you he isn't. I think your just pissed that your laptop doesn't work and are trying to take it out on someone and it better not be me or my fellow tip.iers here in t&c.
