99 Range

After I get 99 defence. What would be the best way to get 99 range?

 

I'm torn between getting 99 range through slayer or through aviansies.

I would just train slayer now, with melee and range. Don't just get 99 defense, get in as much str xp while you can via controlled.

What's the reason for using controlled for str exp? Is it just for attack, strength, and defence? Or some other reason i'm not aware of.

Whip is by far the best weapon in the game.

Aviansies. Then with the money you make, chin. That's the fastest possible way you could get it, unless you have the money to chin to 99 right now.
