October 16, 200817 yr If fullscreen is not working for you, here is one possible solution: IF you are using a 3rd party client to play RuneScape which is not Jagex's official client, or a major web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox, try changing the filename of whatever your program is called, to "iexplore[Caution: Executable File]" and it should work. I do not know if this is a move on Jagex's part to discourage 3rd party client use, but we will soon. Now, I don't/won't reverse engineer RS, so don't ask me to. My point is that others do, and due to that, we have information due to them telling us their findings. So don't go reporting this thread because it mentions "RuneScape" and "reverse engineering" in the same post. The dragon platebody thread is still around here somewhere, and no one's complained. Anyways, it seems fairly coincidental that two "3rd party" clients (one being SwiftKit) stopped working in HD. So hopefully this simple instruction is a help to those users. It could be a completely honest mistake on Jagex's part, because they do say on their website that 3rd party clients are fine if certain rules are followed, but it seems a bit suspicious. Like I said - we'll know sooner or later. Nothing is safe from the decompiler. Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
October 16, 200817 yr I just tested HD/Fullscreen after reading this using Swiftkit and it works fine? "Boredom got me playing, Boredom stops me from playing. It's a vicious cycle."
October 16, 200817 yr Author Interesting... maybe I jump to conclusions too soon. Did they update SwiftKit just today or are you using a version from some-time previous? Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
October 16, 200817 yr It's not possible to use an older version of Swiftkit, it's updated every few days automatically. And I don't see why simply changing the file name will change anything. :|

And I don't see why simply changing the file name will change anything. :| Certain blocks/scans look for the file name that initialized it, and if it isn't a typical used name (such as iexplore[Caution: Executable File] or firefox[Caution: Executable File]) certain things may be blocked. Our old high-school program blocker was very similar. If you simply changed the program name to iexplore[Caution: Executable File] or notepad[Caution: Executable File], it would allow you to run it. ~Dan : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube!

October 18, 200817 yr Except the fact that if Jagex is smart they would check the PROCCESS name, because the icon does nothing. You can change the name of the file all day, but, the process would be the only thing that matters in the end, which you cannot change unless you change the entire program itself. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
