I may seem like an idiot to ask you this question, since I think you would already know this, but is your partition for XP in NTFS?

I'd wait for someone more tech savvy than me to help you though, I don't know what are the main reasons that it does that usually.

New problem, my computer will not recognize my speakers. I have them plugged in, and it will not accept that they are there. No sound comes out. I know the brand is logitech, and i have two speakers and a subwoofer, and that's it, and i don't know what sound drivers I would need.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

Well you do need a driver. You should have gotten a cd with your speakers, if not then look for the driver on google.

I didn't get a cd, and i don't know the exact name of the speakers. This problem is bigger, since i tried using headphones and no sound comes out either
