ipwnage4lyfe
Okay when I try and log on to Runescape and I go to the log in screen and everything and I put in my username and password and click log in then the black box appears in the upper left corner of the runescape window and it says "Please wait logging in" then the words change to "Connection Lost Attempting to Restablish" and then my whole internet connection goes out. It does this in both high and low detail so I am unable to go on Runescape. This just started yesterday and I have no idea why. I can go on every other site and everything works except for when I try and log in to Runescape. Ideas?
Dracion1
More info please. What browser are you using? What version of java are you using? Have you got other applications running in the background using the internet? Have you virus scanned? Have you got he latest updates for your software? Who's yours ISP, and are you sure it's not a fault on their part? Sorry, but there is a sticky, so please read it. "In the beginning, the universe was created. ipwnage4lyfe
Oh, sorry. I am using Firefox 3 I think I am just using Standard Java I didn't download anything except what is required to play Runescape I have the same problem with or without applications in the background. I virus scan my computer every day so I am pretty sure it isn't a virus. Not really sure about the newest updates but every time I get a message saying there is an update available I do it. My ISP is Charter. Hope that is enough info?
Dracion1
Okay, some things to do that could help: [*] Make sure all your software is up to date. [*] Try with a different browser, see if you get the same problem. If you don't, it's possible that you've got an addon which is causing you problems. To resolve this, you'll need to start firefox in safe mode and then re-enable your addons one by one until you find the culprit. [*] Make sure you haven't got a firewall/filtering software which is restricting your access to RS. [*] Run HijackThis, and post the log on here. That should show if you have any malware at all. D. V. Devnull
Any chance you could tell us which add-on, so we can all stay far clear of it? I think we would all hate to get crash-landed by it. :geek: ~Mr. D. V. "Please fill us in, would you?" Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.)
