Blast Furnace

Featured Replies

Tried this last night and enjoyed it. So am going to do it all the way to 80 (75 currently).

I have done a bit of maths but am not sure it's right as involves smithing and smelting. Basically making mithril bolts (u) I need approx 14.5k of them. This isn't an issue as I have 23mil to invest and will make cash in the end. the problem is this doesn't include the XP for smithing the bars, which will take the total number of ores I need to buy down but a fair amount. Is there any easy way to work this figure?

Also the guide I read, however good, was very unclear on the XP rates. Does anyone know the rough XP per hour using the above method?

thanks

30xp to smelt one mithril bar

75xp for each bar smelted

105xp total(from ore to bolt)

10 bolts per bar

14500/10 = 1450

1450*105 = 152250 xp

So you need 1450 mithril ore, 2900 coal, and you will gain junst over 152k exp for your effort.

The rate you get xp at the blast furnace depends largly on how much you help. You will gain the most by no helping run the machine unless nessasary.

Its slow xp I'm afraid. I can't remember precisely but I was getting somewhere between 20-30k exp/h

Yeah, tip.it's smithing calculator. There's an option for smelting AND smithing in the drop down box.
