Freezing on Start Up?

I recently got an eMachines W3650, and it was working like a pearl until yesterday. My sister was trying to unplug the paper shredder and accidentally unplugged the multi-outlet thing that my computer was hooked up to.

Now whenever I start my computer, it gets to the main desktop screen, works fine, then the mouse freezes with the hourglass next to it before anything can even load. I know that the problem isn't the mouse, because it works fine in safe mode.

I've ran a virus scan, so that's not it.

Any ideas?

Problem solved.

I'm not sure what it was exactly, so I ran a system restore to Monday when it was working fine and now I'm all systems go.

Back to thieving ^_^

I'd almost bet something got corrupted in one of the directories that System Restore monitors. That would explain why the restore worked for you. :-k ... Anywho, since the problem is no more, I'm calling it "Case Closed"... But please don't lose power like that again? 8-)
