June 30, 200521 yr Well, not long ago, I reached mining level 30, and I was pretty happy, because then I could mine coal and make steel. But whenever I've gone to mine it, I get the same problem: a great deal of the higher-level people mining coal are...well...snobs! Don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying every higher-level player is a snob, but it seems a great deal of higher-level players mining coal are. For example, one time, this Level 64 guy comes in and starts ming on all the other rocks in the area, instead of going with one, and letting everyone else have one. When I ask why we couldn't share the spot, he said that since he'd spent more time playing, he deserved it, and that his mining rights came before ours. So, does anyone else agree that Jagex should require players to be curteous to everyone else?
June 30, 200521 yr no hes right he had to fight to get to that higher lvl and everyone else should have to fight just as hard. although alot of the time people are just plain rude, and I have had a lvl 92 miner follow me to every rock I went to, just to purposely prevent me from mining anything, just because I was on "his space"
June 30, 200520 yr Ignore the idiot above me, you'll get used to him. They're entitled to go for whichever rocks, just as you are. Yes it's uncurteous and rude (and the reason he gave was absolute bs) but there's nothing really you can do, I'm afraid. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
June 30, 200520 yr he doesnt deserve it but he CAN do it since hes high, youll get used to it. R.I.P. Shiva and Steve
June 30, 200520 yr WHAT THE HELL DUDE WE SAID PRETTY MUCH THE EXACT SAME THING IT IS RUDE BUT ITS HOW THE GAME WORKS AND YET AMAZINGLY YOU MANAGE TO CALL ME AN IDIOT FOR AGREEING WITH YOU???

I think that the conflict lies in the fact that you have a clown in your sig. Clowns are 3vil with a capital "t". - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Anyway, all I have to say about this rudeness issues is: atleast you weren't mining in the wildys. You coulda gotten blasted if you were. We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.

July 1, 200520 yr if anything, mining is too easy for low levels. When im power mining iron (level 73 miner), level 55 and below miners always out mine me. The success rate of getting ores needs to be fixed when it comes to your level.
July 1, 200520 yr true I went through iron in a day and was on my way to coal. (HATED SMITHING IT THOUGH  ) I think more of courtesy issue is people who get mad when they dont get the ore

To your first question: You said it right in the title. To your second question: Sometimes I may like to go mine OTHER ores such as adamantite, mithril, gold, or iron. Since the little area RIGHT outside the guild has all of these...I may rather mine there instead. Also...if this hasn't occured to you yet, then I'll tell you: I made it past 60 and can use the guild. Whoo...hoo. Does this mean I automatically HAVE to use the Mining Guild? No way! It's my experience, my character, my membership, my pickaxe, and my time...I'll use it however, and wherever I so please. You think it's rude? Fine. Think it's rude...but that's not going to stop me from mining there if I need to. |2,300+ Total|138 Combat|12 Lvl 99 Skills|99 Slayer|
July 5, 200520 yr Author I don't think it's rude to not use the mining guild...what I don't like is people taking advantage of their higher level and stealing rocks people are already mining, or not even letting someone else use just one rock when they have four or five at their disposal.
