October 28, 200817 yr I hear alot of people skip them, but i'm no quitter. Could someone give me a brief (or detailed if you like ) guide to killing them... For example... @ Invo/setup @ Use of prayer/food @ What room to kill them in etc... October 28, 200817 yr You can range the ones at the entrance by safespotting them. I think you should be able to get the tortoises stuck behind the fence. I found this image.
October 28, 200817 yr Nothing to add, except to encourage you to do them. Those who skip them are wrong. Banking is easy, the tortoises are easy and their drops are worth it. Oh, bring some high alch runes to alch the mithril and rune drops. You'll find them quite profitable with the ores, tar, shells and rune picks they drop.

October 28, 200817 yr Hard to tell... I'd suggest doing a trip with monks and a trip with prayer to check it out. But I'm guessing food would be best. They hit hard, but not very often and they drop food (entangled toad's legs, usually several at a time). For me, their food drops were enough to compensate, but my defense is a lot higher than yours, so don't take my word for it. Oh, you could always use the boosting prayers of course, but wouldn't pots be enough? I'm not a big fan of the boost prayers, but most disagree with me on that point, so...
October 28, 200817 yr i wouldn't use prayer....i can simply kill a task of 150+ in 2 trips...i simply take a beast of burden and only summon it when my invo is full then bank when my beast of burden only has 3 mins left on the clock, if you have guthans then use that instead of prayer....i use guthans and it's great..it lets me stay there until i get a full invo.... [spoiler=Sig] I like to think of the Dark Bow like a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) - you get one shot and then you're screwed.
