Question regarding forging

Hi, like all you I've started a while ago playing RuneScape again, because I need a game to create the social feeling illusion.

Anyway, I had a question regarding forging as you might have read from the topic title. You see; I'm a planner, I like everything organized even though my room is a mess sometimes (cloths and stuff).

I was scouting out tip.it when I found at this little passage:

What I am wondering is: When I use bronze bars to make an item (Let's say at doric's place) and I decide to make 1 item with more then 1 bronze bar: does this mean the 18.7 exp turns into 18.6 + 9.35 = 27,95 exp for using 2 bronze bars in this case to make only one item?

Because I'm just a beginner and I just want to know what's the best thing to do with forging, so to just use 1 ore at a time all the time...I mean...what do you people do?

Maybe I'm just worrying over nothing, but I really am an annoying perfectionist. It has more to do with the fact that I want to have my mining at 11 (which I have now) and my smithing (& Melting ofcourse) at 11 as well so I can eventually exactly come at level 15 with both so I DON'T have to mine more and my levels aren't equal anymore (if that makes any sense, at ALL). Of course I can also buy Tin ore and Copper Ore, but I don't prefer.

I think the exp means the absolute minimum that smithing and smelting can give. Such a, smelting the bar makes 9xp persay, then smithing a dagger ( lowest lvl item only costing 1 bar ) gives another 9xp, making it a minimum of 18xp if you smelt and smith.

Check the Smithing skill guide from TIP.The smelting xp is when you turn the ores into bars.Add that to the xp you get from making an item from the list.It is easier this way.

OT:smith+smelt is turning ores into bars +lvl1 items(only 1 bar).

For the rest, that use 2+ bars, manually check the xp.

You just get double xp from 2+ bars. So if you get like 30 xp for 1 bar, you get 60 xp for 2 bars, 90 xp for 3 bars and 150 xp for 5 bars used.

guys this is not complex...

the 9.35 is simply dividing the total xp by number of ores needed to make the bar (copper and tin=2 18.7/2=9.35) its around 12.5 xp to smith each bronze bar and 6.2xp for smelting it

you use 2 ores and they are just showing how much xp you get per ore used ok

its not 9+9+9 or anything like that

1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P

1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P

ok this is how smithing/smelting works

Bronze Bar

you mine 1 copper and 1 tin

you use them on a furnace you receive 6.2xp

you then use the bar to make a dagger you recieve 12.5xp

6.2+12.5=18.7

etc etc (the 9.35 is just totalxp/# of ores required to make the bar)

1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P

1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P
