FireFox 3 memory leak?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking my FireFox browser (version 3) has a memory leak.

I'll start it up, and it uses about 25k memory, but within 20 or so minutes it's up to ~60k-100k.

Specs:

Vista Home Premium SP1

2GB DDR2 RAM

2.8GHz Intel Pentium D

Any other info you need just ask.

The thing is when the memory use is high, videos and games (flash ones at least) become very laggy with low framerates, and the whole browser becomes slow.

I've tried some things tutorials have suggested involving about:config, but it didn't make a difference so far as I can tell.

Rarely more than 3 at any time, usually just 1.

The amount of memory firefox uses rises every time you open a new tab. I have 13 tabs open at the moment and firefox uses 113 MB RAM. No apparent memory leak for me.
