November 2, 200817 yr I'm aiming for 99 firemaking, and due to its limitations I can't type while doing it. So I was wondering if voice recognition software works so I can talk while typing. ..Or will it not recognise Java games? Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
November 2, 200817 yr I'm fairly sure that isn't possible, unless JaGEx implemented it themselves. I think that's just one of the drawbacks of training firemaking and other skills that require constant clicking. Everyone else has had to deal with it.

November 2, 200817 yr Ah, i'll try a few different things, if not, a lonely life to 99 firemaking. :ohnoes: If you're a fast typer, you don't have to worry. You could type a short sentance as quick as burning 3 logs, not really a big deal. As for the voice recognition, I don't think we're that advanced... yet ;)
November 2, 200817 yr As for the voice recognition, I don't think we're that advanced... yet ;) Exactly, even if it were possible with RuneScape, current voice recognition software is dodgy, most of your words/sentences would make no sense and you'd need to talk loudly and slowly, and also some accents don't get recognised as easily as others.
November 5, 200817 yr I've heard lots of good things about Dragon Dictate (NaturallySpeaking V10), but as far as getting it to work with Runescape I doubt it. As the others have said Jagex would need to work on it themselves, which they probably won't. I can't see the benefits of them working it out. Even if Runescape did support it most people wouldn't use it seeing as good software (Dragon) is 89.99.
