UnknownRemoval
Wasn't sure where to post this, but meh. Anyway I was reading the announcement and I saw this section and basically thought, 'what?' Structure Defeat someone up to 5 levels above you == 5 points Defeat someone 6 to 10 levels above you == 10 points Defeat someone more than 10 levels above you == 15 points Defeat someone up to 5 levels below you == 3 Points Defeat someone 6 to 10 levels below you == 1 Point Defeat someone more then 10 levels below you == 0 Points Think about what you are reading for each half, basically if (example) a level 116 went to fight a level 105 and the 105 won, he would get 15 points, if the level 116 won, he would get 0 points. Thus, nobody 11 levels or higher will accept challenges for people at least 11 levels under because they gain nothing out of it, so in my view, this should just be removed from the rules? Or am I just not getting something? Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
Kill_Life
That's true, should change to 3-2-1 or something. "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]
UnknownRemoval
3-2-1 would be good, although the small point gain would still limit vast level differences. :wall: Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
obfuscator
Hmm I suppose the thinking was that defeating someone so much lower is not a challenge and therefore not worthy of points....I disagree however. Laikrob
If you're maxed out, it's hard to gain points. You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?
UnknownRemoval
True. Not much we can do to combat that though. :wall: Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
Kill_Life
If you're maxed out, it's hard to gain points. You'll get less points per fight (or perhaps not, since I assume most will try nd fight someone around their level), but it'll be easier to win a fight. It's only logical imo: The easier your winning odds, the less points you gain. Jimmyw3000
SO if you're against a person of the same combat level ,how many points do you get?
Kill_Life
SO if you're against a person of the same combat level ,how many points do you get? Should be 4 (might become 5 in the future, still discussing that, but right now, it's 4). It's only logical imo: The easier your winning odds, the less points you gain. The flaw in logic here is that there aren't that many people your level once you max out. Your selection of people to DM becomes quite limited if you want to make decent points, in other words fight someone your own level. You should be able to fight people a few levels lower for the equal level points to prevent that, in example down to 136 could be counted as same level range for 138 on P2P and 125 to 126. If I'm not making any sense, I apologise. It makes sense in my head but then again it's late and I'm tired. :? You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. Kill_Life
Makes sense, that's why we're still in a beta  Will see what the others say about it. "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]

Now if only we could create some kind of level-related bounty-hunter/pest control type ladder system thingy. :ugeek: Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
Laikrob
The reason why it is not unfair is that when you're 126/138 you can't DM anyone higher level than you. I'm sure many would love to challenge a lvl 140, but there aren't countless of those around. ;) You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic.
