Quer_Skulll
well i wasnt suppose to publish idea to anyone but.. here goes anyway... hehe i editted this out O.o im bad aint i :P but well the point is one of those projects.. im making sigs for a clan, Virgulence its a clan im building up myself well im going to start recruiting pretty soon. the idea for the sigs is to represent a group in the clan like Warriors-Section, Ranger-Section.. etcetra... which will be free to use for high ranks inside the clan. well i made this for the Warrior-Section. now the line-art and shading on the char is all good and well, but im blank on backgrounds and isnt a grey one to boring. killmenub
Hmm thats a hard one as he's standing still, If he was in more a fighting postion you could of put a person running to attack him. However when i looked at it, it made me think of a castle, So maybe its night time, hes on a hill and in the background is a castle? terley
Oh no :o secret pixeling, can it be true? can't wait. For that sig I would suggest him to be stood der at an enterance to a castle or something with a couple of guards piled on top of eachother, you could draw in some blood splatter and broken debree to suggest what just happened. It does look like he should be in a castle scene but it would be an idea to have a fire or 'lightsource' from the left of the picture (from looking on how you've shaded that character), it could make it so its not too dark. Hope that idea has helped you in any way.

Ryan
You sure that's a vector? Looks like you just used the selection tool and then filled it in witht he paint bucket :?
venomai
:) A little plain for a vector. Although vectors usually look simple in some aspects, they often have a lot of detail. Everything looks jittery and shaky.. are you sure you're using the pen tool? Do you have the original reference though? I'm interested in ninja-looking references for digital painting uses... ;) As for the character, its kind of difficult to tell what is happening. The colours and shapes all seem to blend together, making it look pretty busy. He also seems to be slanted back on an angle, with his arms crossed, but his head in a regular position, as if he's being all 'gansta'. I love the outlining on the axe. :) Looks great. dawg. Quer_Skulll
You sure that's a vector? Looks like you just used the selection tool and then filled it in witht he paint bucket :? im pretty sure im using the pen tool if you whant i could send you the PSD to prove it. i tried cleaning the image up a bit.. is this better? i think im going to try and shade it.. ^there you go Venomai, i sort of drew it and used pen tool over it feel free to use it if you whant.. yeah the oroginal idea of the character was to show of his collection of cool looking items but i couldnt execute that well enough to work. im pretty sure i'd end up messing the whole thing up when i get to the background, so i needed a new idea. thanks for the c.c :D
