Money with smithing.

I intend to make steel in the Blast Furnace, this will cost me about 300 GP to unnote my coal and my iron. I will purchase both the iron and coal. (Total cost 270 approx)

I want to stay at the BF for as long as possible - is there any stackable items I can create, and still earn a profit?

Thanks.

You can try steel bolts, 10 per bar which would total to 550gp per bar.

Not used blas furnace myself. In terms of stackables, surely the best way is cannonballs?

Should still make profit off those, but I'm not all that sure of the prices nowadays, might want to check that. But i think thats the best way.

I'm not sure if you can make cannonballs with the blast furnace, as it's not like your normal furnace...at all.

It's not possible - I got curious and tried it, but to no avail.

Steel bolts? Alright, I'll give those a shot! I've got to work on getting my smithing up a final level first, though. :/ I don't want to dish out the 2K in order to use it, because that automatically nullifies any of my profit.

If you have 60 smithing to use the furnace, surely it would be smarter to make mithril bolts? I'm not sure if it would be more money than steel bolts, however it might be, but it would be much faster exp in the long run.
