99 skills "defense noobs" rant

i think that players have lost focus on this game people go out and achieve 99 skills forgetting about every other skill

 

theirs been alot of terms invited since skill capes came out even before

 

 

 

defense noob is probably the most stupid i fail to see how having hi defense is a nooby trait when almost every player runs out to get 99 str every day playing this game i see somebody somewhere asking what every1s str lv is it seems to be the only skill that matters to anyone anymore is it really a achievement? i see more strength capes now then cooking cape and cooking is probably the most easy cape to get yet the str cape pepole are the ones standing around insulting any1 wareing a cooking cape

 

 

 

i understand its you choice to train whatever but having a hi max hit is not the only factor in combat

 

theirs alto defense to guard against hi hits or accuracy using attack hit points are not as important if you have food

 

or anything but still useful

 

im not saying 99 str is a nooby thing by no means any 99 skill is a great achievement but i am starting to think this is becoming a peer pressure thing...because it seems like everybody thinks each other is a noob unless they have 99 str

 

 

 

on a side note other then going to get a 99 skill all day i believe training all skills is a way funner way of playing the game

 

i mean runescape is for entertainment and i don't find it entertaining to go cut a pixalated tree for weeks on end for only one 99 skill achieving alot of skills over a certain lv like 75 plus or 80 so that you can do practically anything in the game seems more of a smarter idea then going for just one 99 skill it might take longer to get one but when you do go for one u have the aid of many hi lv skills to help u ache ave a 99 skill plus u will have multiple ways to make income instead of one repetitive one :evil:

On topic....I hate people saying defence noob. I like to have my melee stats even at all times because....well it just makes sence to me. Currently my defence is higher because I just happend to train it b4 str or atk.

Why do people hate defense "noobs". They specialize just as anyone else would. Sure, you arn't hitting as much on them, but they arn't hitting as much on you.

But you are considered a defence noob even if you have just as high str and atk. The people that say that seem to think that defence should be 40 or 60 and then just leave it.

At the end of the day, no-one can criticise me on my account. I'm perfectly happy with how it is and couldn't change it.

 

 

 

If people want to take their account a different way, then that's up to them - and i'll ignore anyone who tries to tell me how to play the game.

on topic: i'd say whatever floats your boat. im doing 99 defence as my first skill to 99 because i like it over strength. others may want a non-cb skill for their first. all depends on the users and no one should realy critisise upon it.

i was being called defense noob just because other players were too nooby to hit on me so they blamed their suckyness on me pretty much lol i don't know how that works but whatever makes them feel better about themselves i guess -.-

 

like in castle wars a long time ago maybe 2 years ago i got enough def to use barrows but i was being called def noob becouse a lv 100 had some unlucky hits on me? but he was wearing barrows as well... meaning his defence had to be stronger or equal to mine to be doing so yet i was the noob... this happens many of times

I dont have a skill-cape but I hate being called defense noob or prayer noob because of using prayer or defense!

I thought getting 99 str or atk was just logic because if you can hit higher you can usually get faster xp. I'm not into the whole def noob thing though, especially during pvp. If they cant hit me, maybe they are atk noobs :

Well first let me say, I agree with Danno, just because this is NOT school doesn't mean you should type like you are illiterate. I understand everyone has grammar errors all the time, but your whole post was one big jumbled mess of words. (Notice I didn't say punctuation, or lack there of) [/grammar Nazi]

 

 

 

Anyways, this is pretty much the main reason I got defence first to 99. Actually I started out training all stats up to 80. I was even keel. Then I saw numerous people talk about how str own everything and blah blah blah.

 

 

 

I pretty much have made it my goal to make str the last combat 99 I get, and as it is, it is still my lowest combat stat at 85. (It would of stayed 80 but I needed to train at Waterfiends for slayer and unfortunately crush works best :wall: ) The only thing lower is my summoning, which will be higher than my str in due time. First comes Att then Hp then range, mage prayer etc.

 

 

 

I love telling people who are pures and like 50 combats under me that my str is 85, especially when theirs is like 90+. Cracks me up. .. kinda like this :lol:
