Evaluate
So, couple days ago I somehow managed to crack the screen of my iPod (2nd gen nano). I'm in the market for a new one, and I really want the Ipod Touch, but it's a bit expensive, I want to be sure there isn't anything that's basically the same, just without the Apple brand name. If you have any suggestions on less common brands, please post them here. I'm checking out Zunes atm, so please don't post those either. Thanks. I'm looking for: -16gb memory(min) -Plays audio (of course), Video, and can hold pictures -Easy to use interface -Price-tag under $230 7 years 'scape knowledge and counting99 Attack - June 8th 2010 99 Defence - August 2nd 2011 99 HP - December 2nd 2011
stevepole
The new nano? Its 16gb and is $200. Other then that your basically describing a touch. You could try ebay, craigslist, amazon if you want a 16gb for $230. I personally have the 2nd gen 16gb ipod touch and I can say it is well worth the price. Evaluate
Thanks for the post, but I'm looking more at off brands that give me a cheaper option than Apple. 7 years 'scape knowledge and counting99 Attack - June 8th 2010 99 Defence - August 2nd 2011 99 HP - December 2nd 2011
stevepole
Well then, the zune is a good option. I had the first generation zune for about 10 months until I sold it because I got sick of having to switch OS on my macbook pro so I sold it and got another ipod. I really liked the radio feature. I haven't been able to try out the new zune software so I can't tell you anything about it.
Evaluate
Found a Creative Zen I really like, thanks Steve for your input. 7 years 'scape knowledge and counting99 Attack - June 8th 2010 99 Defence - August 2nd 2011 99 HP - December 2nd 2011
rwinner16
If you can scrape together the extra cost I highly recommend going to apple. I have had misfortune with Zune(warranty) and apple has come through no questions asked. Live life to the fullest, or don't live at all.
Deathmath
Which creative zen? The X-FI isn't that great I would ask this question on anythingbutipod.com/forum Also I would recommend the samsung p2 (at the top of the price range) or the cowon d2 or O2. Do you want a Touch-screen interface or not? Edit: If you don't want touch screen the Sansa Fuze and the Creative Zen possibly Another thought of mine is those sonies. The new gen sonys are pretty good, but a bit expensive and I have no knowledge of them really. http://www.anythingbutipod.com Do you want good sound quality as well? Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
