November 15, 200817 yr Yes, it gives a construction boost but it is VERY small. My friend is doing mahogany planks atm and he is get 3.83 more xp per plank with it. This means it is only a 2.74% increase, and it is probably even lower on oak planks.

It is NOT hard to get enough points to recharge the thing. If your levels are middle-class (40+), you can probably get enough points to recharge it in a single game, even if you lose. And this is presuming that it costs the same to recharge as to buy straight up.
