Another Ranged Survey -> Xtal Bow vs XBow

[hide=]All of a sudden in my clan chat, two of my friends begin to argue on what ranged weapon was better. They were both hunting the Giant Mole in fally as a team. One was using a rune crossbow with broad while the other using a Crystal Bow with Rune ShortBow spec w/ Mith Arrows. They were both on lootshare, so it didn't matter who did more damage, but they started talking about how their ranged weapons was better than the other. I supported the crystal bow, but then someone else joined chat and said that the rune crossbow owned crystal ....[/hide]

 

 

 

So which do you like better? Assuming money is no objective?

Rune as it doesnt need recharging and chose isadafar traps require about 20 pieces of food just for the one needed to get inside the roving elves area.

Rune crossbow is far better. However I am basing this on the fact that diamond (e) are the lowest bolts I use.

I like the Crossbow because you can use a sheild. Unless im safespotting, I use my Crossbow.

Even in a safespot, the extra +8 bonus the Zammy Book allows is great.

 

 

 

I personally cannot stand the degrading of crystal. It makes them pretty much useless after that point. Sure it's 100 bonus to start with, but after like 7/10 the xbow is better, and you're stuck with a 7/10 bow which is totally useless.

id have to say the xbow even with low bolts like mith the hitting is more consistent and faster than a xtal bow and you have an extra spot for armor/zammy book while not having to recharge the bow and it costs 2.5m ish to get the xtal bow down to the lowest price for a charge and even at that point the ammo is still fairly expensive per shot
