Featured Replies

Hi. I'm trying to make my own stats sig atm. I want something original. I'm not going to make it incredibly arty the first attempt, but what i really want to know is how can i get it to update when i improve my stats?

Can i do this and how?

Thanks.

It's dynamic

It does update for you - the only thing you have to update is the quest points.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Ta for the help. However, i was hoping the do the whole thing myself, with entierely my own design. Do you know how the dynamics work?

Ohhhhh.

Sorry

Well I haven't got an idea but you may be able to contact one of the people who made the tip.it signatures here, they might help?

Sorry I dont know who did it :s

If you draw all by yourself, then you need to update each level.

I would advice to you make a template, without the levels, when you level just change the number in the template and update the sig

Too much work for

Yes, i can do that. Point was, i wanted it to update on its own, which IS do-able as Ray has pointed out.

I have found out how to do it, but it requires me learning PHP or Regex, which i don't have the time to do right now.

So yes, i shall just be drawing and updating one. Ah well, watch my signature space for the first attempt ;)

Yes, to it self-updating you need to know how to program

Good Work.

if you wnat 100% ur own updating sig u need to first get a server space.

Then u need to create a php document that will firstly acess to the highscores then slice them into the componenets parts ()eg each level)

It then need command lines to create an image file using the background u pikc then it needs command lines telling to to palce each bit of text in a precise location on the image

basically its not worth doing it unless you already know php and have a server

Thanks Paw Claw. May look into it at a later stage, but yeah haven't got the time or effort required at the moment :P

You need to have a php script which create the image from a template then adds the scores.

(You need another script or function to retrieve the stats from the high scores.)

Once you have it up and running create a cron job to run the php file every so often (30 minutes or so)
