November 22, 200817 yr Hello everyone, So here is one the things that I have been mulling over in my mind; f2p has gotten a fair amount of "boosts" from 05 when I stopped playing. I came back to discover many cool things; explorer's rings, zerker shields, etc. However, I noticed that one of my favorite parts of runescape, the money sinks, had not improved at all. While I am happy with the melee end of the triangle (currently have both full guth and zam :D), I noticed that they other parts didn't have their respective money sinks that were super cool and pretty functional. At most, the wizard (g) set was a little over 1 mil. So, what I'm asking is, do you think it is fair to let f2p have more show armor? Not be able to get it on f2p worlds, but be able to wear/use it. Something like: Zammy dhide- Same as green dhide, except black with red trimming. Sara Dhide- White with blue trimming. Guth Dhide- Um.....I'm at a loss...... Zammy Robes- Red robes trimmed with black. Sara Robes- White Robes trimmed with blue. Guth Robes- Green Robes trimmed with red. Also, what about show weapons? Don't have all that many ideas about those, but same stats as rune weapons, but look cooler. So... discuss. And please, please, don't degenerate this into a f2p vs. p2p arguement. I am currently a f2per, but I'm not whining about "better" stuff, just a bit cooler. This will probably never be implemented into the game, but I just want to know what people think about the idea....
November 22, 200817 yr no i dont think they need show armor. If they REALLY want to show off, tell them to become a member and get some members objects equipped then go back into a f2p world. Show enough?
November 22, 200817 yr Not needed, we're fine with what we have (Besides, why would you want to pay even more for crap robes like Mage (G)? The skirt doesn't even do anything.) 100% F2P99 Defense, Tuesday February 10th 200999 Attack, Tuesday May 26th 200962,189th to get it
November 22, 200817 yr If a F2P has money to showoff then they still have rares. If they don't have enough money for rares, then I honestly don't think it's enough money to be showing off.
November 24, 200817 yr Your lucky you even get any TT items. I'd say it's actually the other way around for the most part. If f2p couldn't buy all the trimmed rune armour there would be a much smaller market, meaning less profit for the clue hunters. I mean really, how many p2pers wear a form of god rune armour that can afford it? How many f2pers? [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp

November 30, 200817 yr no i dont think they need show armor. If they REALLY want to show off, tell them to become a member and get some members objects equipped then go back into a f2p world. Show enough? Way to immediately try to start an f2p v p2p debate. Let people stay f2p if they want.. On topic: I do think Jagex should release some more treasure trail armor for rangers and mages, with the function equal to that of the highest existing armor, with stats equal to for example FoG mage robes, or green d-hide. There is gold trimmed green d-hide, but rune armor also has more possible trims. Sara trimmed d-hide armor would definitely see a huge market in f2p.

If you're P2P, why buy over glorified rune when you can buy an abysmal whip? i know, they can even buy an abyssal whip and get better stats :P but still, i got full sara a month ago, and gold trimmed d'hide just last night. One more mill for wizzy(g) then we'll see about a santa hat. and as for the f2p vs p2p, i would like to see more treasure trail items ported over, but it's not necessarry. After all, that means jagex needs to make more, which means that they need to pay people to design them, which ends up being one great big money sink that could be better put to use on the next grandmaster quest. It is not the great who are strong, but the strong who are great--Albel Nox
