Hi, I want to get my fishing up to 80 and make some cash in the process. I know the quickest way is probably monks, but I haven't done swan song and don't intend to as i hate quests :P

 

 

 

I'm thinking sharks. It'll take me a little over 5k sharks to get to 80, or 7k lobbys. I could really do with the cash atm, for other goals after.

 

 

 

What i want to know is how long this may take me. Like i say, the cash would come in handy, but if it'll take ages to get the level i'm likely to get bored before i get it.

 

 

 

So, worth it? or should i just go for lobs?

What about harpooning swordies/tuna? :)

Sharks will go terribly slow, do lobbies or just get over it and do monks.

Guys, you're underestimating how much i HATE quests. I will eventually do swan song, but won't be happening before 80 fish. Still need more quest points and quests before i do it, so no thanks :P

 

 

 

Would swordies and tuna provide a decent amount of cash though? I'm looking at over 5mill if i can keep on task doing sharks compared to about 2mill is i do lobs.

Raws are 333 at the moment. It'd give me about half the cash that the sharks would. Is it at least twice as fast doing lobs?

Well for a start, because i hate quests, my trade limit is low(ish) :P And besides that fact, it's really not happening anytime soon. I have to do at least two other quests first and i really don't like them.

 

 

 

I'll tell you what. I'll make a promise that after i get 80 fishing i shall do swan song. Then any further fishing goals can be achieved through monks :P

Compamise imo:

 

monk > sword > lob / shark > barb > fly

 

 

 

lobs and sharks are the same because one is lots of cahs little xp, the other is the other extreme. Barb above fly because theyre both crap money, but barb is faster.

 

 

 

Fish monks. Do swan song, get over it, it's only one hour and you'll thank yourself a thousandfold. If you really, really are short on cash then sharks but....please, do Swan Song. You will thank yourself so much, you don't even know.

 

 

 

If you really, really, really don't want to do it (seriously just do it), fish swordies imo.
