Is there any safespot for them, in the ancient caverns? I remember someone saying something about a safespot.

Well waterfiends use magic and range, so as far as i know there isn't one.

 

 

 

Unless that person was talking about somewhere safe to hide where they can't attack you but you also can't attack them which would be up the stairs at the entrance.

once they go un aggro you can trap them on a little outcrop of water. you can hit them with longrange attacks but thier attack range is to short to reach you.

There are one sidestep and one safespot i know.
