Graphic Card Help

Featured Replies

(Hope this is in the right place)

I'm possibly getting a new laptop before or after Christmas and I wanted to make sure I had a good graphics card that would at least be able to run Runescape HD smoothly. A lot of the laptops I'm looking at have NVIDIA GeForce 8200M as the integrated video card and I was wondering if this would be enough to run RS in HD. Can anyone confirm that this is a good video card?

If not can you recommend a good laptop graphics card? I'm hoping not to spend too much on a laptop, at the most just under $1000.

Any help or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and is the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD any good? Or is it one of the lesser graphic cards?

It'll run RS HD with ease, you should be able to run a few older games on the 8200M as well, like CSS and WoW

Just wanted to make sure as the Official Forums didn't help at all.

What about the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD? Would that be able to run RS HD plus some older games or is it not as good as the NVIDIA GeForce 8200M?

The 8200M should perform much better for older games and HD than said Intel chip.

Runs any game I could throw at it at the very least on low setting but most on medium. Only game that was unplayable was Crysis, and Oblivion IV and stalker were laggy but still playable. Otherwise wow runs on high at up to 30 fps.

as for rs hd, all high, full screen 1280X800 (+ anti aliasing), i could get 35 fps and around 25 at GE. Definatelly wrrth it
