Windoes XP comes with Windows Movie Maker as standard which suits most peoples needs. Alternatively check snap files for freeware video editing software. http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/gmm/fwvideoedit.html

If your a begginer, use pinnacle 9 its simple and such a good program

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If your advanced try avid express pro

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and if your rich or got limewi...if ur rich buy adobe premiere pro :wink:

but id highly suggest going out and paying like 60 bucks for pinnacle lol

ok i would like to use windows, but i cant seem to get the sound to work, and only get the picture...can someone tell me what im doing wrong lol.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I thought pinnacle was like $100, but it does look good

:? dont exactly get the problem...your sound on ur computer wont work or in ssome editing software

the sound off the windows movie maker after i transfer the video from my camera to the computer. The movie will play fine, but there is no sound what-so-ever

what are you using to connect your camera to the computer?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also on some software there is an option to capture audio that may need to be checked. I'm not sure if its there on movie maker though.

Pinnacle is unstable and is fairly limited. Simple, but not worth paying for IMO.

nahh they patched it up, it works perfectly for me when im doing simple video projects :wink:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but yea it used to crash every 5minutes :evil:

i figured out the problem, the for some reason i needed to install the usb onto the comp, which i wasnt doing :oops: thanks everyone for your help :D
