Dire_Wolf
AOW=Archieve Of Wisdom is all about knowledge right? I believe there should be a subforum for Monster logs. A Guide tells you how to kill monsters and what to use, but a Monster log tells you the information you need. So i think it should be considered. Ginger_Warrior
I'd have to agree. Certainly from my experience working on the Bestiary as a Crewbie one of the things I found immensely troublesome was having to work through three or four separate topics, many of which were filled with spam or opinions on the update. If all the information had been put into one place, where the conversation is focused not open, it would have been easier. I'll let the current Crewbies speak their own mind though. They might prefer the current Bestiary board in Website U&C. I am in no way representative of them or their opinions. Secondly, I just think it would be easier for those Tip.Iters who don't have an active presence on the forum but still read the boards nonetheless. I think if there was a set place where they could look for the drop logs of new monsters within hours of them being released, gathered and researched by forum users, it would help them, instead of having to wait days (if not, weeks) for monster profiles to update with no way of receiving an alert when it is updated (unlike the forum where you can subscribe to a topic). Thirdly, it would encourage users to actually collect the data in the first place. Forum reputation and all that. This might hasten the process for the Crew, and in the meantime, provide a point for forum users to take a quick look at. Again, this is just my personal opinion though. Don't treat me as a former staff member or quote me as such. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
n_odie
As of now, each update I first look into the Website U&C. I then look in the General Forum release thread and find out more about the new monster, where it is at and the requirements to find it. I then try to go and see the monster for myself in-game if not limited to quest and level requirements. It works well as far as Website Info goes. We do try to get a basic release on any monster asap. However, a new forum would be awesome for in depth research and discussion. There are some Slayer Oriented sites that when I am really wondering about a monster I go and check it out. To have a place on Tip.It, would be cool. It is more of an issue of it being used...If there is enough supporters I would think of it as a viable option. As far as discussion, there is sometimes few new monsters released. We have had no new monsters in the past month. Discussion would be sparce at times like this. When a new monster comes out, often times it is quest related and really has no purpose or discussion. When monsters like the corp beast and others at that time, it would be lively but I again think that it would just die out. Tbh, I would love to grab some of the top slayers from around the site and make a private forum. But by saying that here it really wouldn't be private now would it. :P Edit: I am talking as far as new updates. Drop logs for old monsters would be cool. Again still worry about the support... Dire_Wolf
Don't forget: - Players won't post on Help and Advice about drop rate - Players will make logs, and other forum users will encourage them to get a good drop in the log! Would rock big time.
