November 27, 200817 yr You get tokens from doing the various minigames (animating and battling armor, blocking ballista attacks, throwing shotputs, balancing barrels, bopping targets, etc.), and you fight the cyclopes on the top level to get defenders. While you're fighting the cyclopes, your tokens vanish at a rate of ten per minute. You can only stay in as long as you have tokens, and you must have 100+ tokens to enter. Wear a ring of wealth while fighting the cyclopes, and right-click every pile of bones because the bones cover the defender (it doesn't appear on top of them so it's often missed). Once you get a bronze defender, show it to the woman outside the cyclopes entrance and she will make the cyclopes drop the iron defender. Get one, show it to her, and they'll drop the steel defender, and so on, up to rune. Usually it takes about 2k tokens to go all the way to rune. Don't forget to fight the lower-leveled cyclopes, pick up dropped items only if you don't mind paying for it with extra tokens (wastes time), always right-click to be sure you're not missing the defender, and run all the time.

I'm lvl 112 and dont have a rune defender yet I need to get on it :( Stdueis sohw taht as lnog as the fisrt and the lsat letetr of wrods are croerct you wlil hvae no porbelm readninig a sentence. This is bceuase yuor mind deons't acatully read all the letetrs, but a word as a wohle.

I'm lvl 112 and dont have a rune defender yet I need to get on it :( Well, I'd say animate mithril amour until you have 1k tokens, then go in the cyclopes and repeat. That's how i got it a few months ago on my level 80, and it only takes a day. But it will go a lot faster for you since you're 112. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.

As A First Resort is one of the "must do" quests. Pretty low levelled too, so if someone can access the Warriors Guild, I'd assume they can do this quest. Quest is worth doing for this reason let alone the other beneifts. Trust the Gene Genie!
