Monkey Greegrees

I'm doing the Ape Atoll part of Recipe for Disaster right now, but I still need all three greegrees. What is the best way to kill the monkeys with my stats? I remember the monkeys being hard to kill when I did Monkey Madness.

Maybe Prayer and Range? It depends on what monkeys you're trying to attack. For the big guard monkeys, I'd try using melee with melee protect prayer.

I just finished that very part, and I can assure you, the monkeys aren't hard to beat.

 

The ninja has to be ranged, but is easy to kill.

 

The gorilla should be melee'd with melee protect.

 

The zombie can be killed in any way, with melee protect.

Do they still shoot arrows at you, knock you out, and imprison you? How do you get around that?

The easiest way is to make a geegree from a karamjan monkey first, then they don't imprison you.

Certain ones don't I think. Besides, there's a bunch of ninja monkeys who use melee. I can't remember where they are though...

So can I fight them while in monkey form? And what's the best setup?

You cannot fight them while in monkey form. You can however stay in monkey form and position yourself so that there is only one ninja monkey (and no other monkeys) on the screen. Then use your protection from melee and range him to death. There is an altar in the main building on the far side of the village if you need to recharge prayer.

There are 2 ninja monkeys south of the temple in Marim. One of them has a patch of tall grass beside it; simply run into this path and melee the monkey, he can't attack you. It's how I got mine. I used a whip. Use your best str ant atk prayers while using protect from melee and kill a monkey gaurd. Same deal with the zombey monkeys, just keep an eye on your prayer. I recomend brining a few pieces of emergency food, a pray pot, and an anti posion potion. Super str/atk wouldn't hurt either.

They way i got a ninja gree gree is a group of ninja monkeys were chasing me and a gnome came up behind them an stabbed them, and I got the bones :lol:
