I used a magic short, but it wasn't as effective as the crossbow. Oh, I'm also low on money, so preferably bolts on the cheaper side would be fantasmical. Kellis Posted December 2, 2008 Share Posted December 2, 2008 You need 55 slayer, but not Smoking Kills, for broad bolts. Get it asap. As Sindarin said, use knives to get up to a rune crossbow. If you don't want to go smith knives (it provides nice smithing experience, especially with the morphic tool boost from Stealing Creation), then get a Dorgeshuun Bone crossbow.
