December 4, 200817 yr I was curious if anyone had an excel sheet on farming for judging how long getting 99 would take. Sounds like something people would have that's why I was wondering. Yes I am too lazy/busy/excel illiterate to do the formulas and everything else for myself. Cheers to the one that has it, kudos for the one that puts it up : Apparently, my signature was to big.
December 4, 200817 yr I don't really have that kind of sheet, but it's quite easy to calculate how long it will take you. The average day (for me) is 4 herb runs, 10 trees, 5 fruit trees and 1 calquat. Check the xp you get per tree, multiply that by the amount of trees you'll plant. The average for herbs is about 33/5 patches, multiply the xp/herb by 33 and add 5 times the planting xp to that. Once you've done this, add this to each other and you'll know what your xp/day will be. You can calculate the amount of days this will take by dividing the total xp needed by the xp/day. You can also calculate the profit/loss this way, simply subtract the money lost on trees from the herb profit. Good luck on farming ;) Edit - Remember, if you're going to plant trees and the payment costs more than 1/8th of the cost of the seed, it's better not to pay. If you do this, remember to multiply the xp/tree by 7/8 as about 1/8 trees will die. Don't forget to supercompost :P
December 4, 200817 yr Author That was quite a mouthful, and I thank you for that, mind telling me how much exp/day you are pulling in with that? I know you are using snaps, maples, and p'apples. Apparently, my signature was to big.

I should be getting around 81k xp/day, but due to pineapples not always being done after 24 hours ( :-# ) and the same for my calquat, it's more like 70-75k/day. I break even or profit around 50k/day. :D
December 4, 200817 yr Author Still looking for a balance sheet :) .. Thanks D Jay. I'll have to go with that if no one wants to turn out an excel sheet. Just can't do it ATM. Apparently, my signature was to big.
December 4, 200817 yr It's better not to pay according to your formulas ( the 1/8th thingy), but it's faster exp as you're getting garanteed health. From that point it's a matter of speed vs money. G luck farming, it's one of my favorite skill. Once you have that run all set up, farming can be pretty fast and profitable. If the payment is indeed 1/8th of the price of the seed, you'd end up spending the same amount of gp but getting more xp if you pay. But, for stuff like yews or mages, the payment is way more than 1/8th of the seed and you're better off not paying. As for the spreadsheet. I just created one :P Just enter the price/xp of what you will plant in there and it should calculate your xp/day. Spreadsheet

I agree, just saying if you want to rush the skill and level at the fastest pace possible, you will need to pay whatever they ask for garanteed health. Hence the argument : speed vs money. December 4, 200817 yr Author I always pay anyway.. with the amount of time it takes for the trees to grow I would rather not wait to find I have gained nearly zero exp. Nice spreadsheet D Jay.. How about if I only do 5 reg trees a day though, I don't have the time to come back online and do another run of willows/maples. Apparently, my signature was to big.
